Daikin D1+ Partner

Greenworks hold the highest level of accreditation with Daikin UK, the market leading brand of air conditioning in the UK.

D1 status is renowned as a mark of quality in the industry, giving customers assurance of quality, training and accreditation that sets D1 contractors apart from the crowd.

Refrigeration

Many older cold rooms and refrigeration equipment operate with refrigerant that has been replaced with a more modern environmentally friendly, energy efficient alternative. For refrigerated cabinets and cold room equipment, new installations or renewals, contact us now!

Cold Rooms and Controlled Temperature Rooms

We provide a full range of Cold Rooms including walk in freezers, chillers and environmentally controlled rooms, with bespoke doors, racking, lighting and flooring.

Our projects team can deliver the perfect solution to suit your exact requirements; whatever the temperature and relative humidity conditions you need!

We build to our clients’ required dimensions, to ensure that the room will make optimum use of the available floor space. Size is no limit and whether you require a small, walk-in or commercial cold room, or a large-scale cold store complex we can design, build, service and maintain the room of your choice.

The structure is typically formed from Polyisocyanurate (PIR) panels. PIR is a superb insulation material that has the added benefit of being fire retardant. The panels are finished as standard with white food-safe plastic-coated steel sheets, giving an attractive easy to clean surface both within and outside the room.

During manufacture, we can incorporate a plywood layer within insulated wall panels to support wall mounted fixtures. We can also incorporate relative humidity control into the room design.

Our cold rooms can be supplied with modular insulated floors should one be required; in some cases, the floor can be recessed into the existing site flooring, providing a level floor entry at the doorway. A raised floor will have a step at the doorway or a ramp to provide easy access for trolleys.

Our cold stores generally have a remote refrigeration unit, so any noise and extracted heat is dissipated into an area away from the room. For rooms with critical requirements we can install ‘duty/ standby’ or ‘N+1’ refrigeration systems so that the cold room can continue to maintain conditions, even with one system in fault.

Heated door frames and vision panels are available for freezer rooms and high humidity rooms.

We usually include a dedicated control and alarm panel mounted adjacent to the room to show the conditions in the room and show an alarm for any deviation from the design conditions. Alarms can be visible, audible, via SMS text message or linked into the Building Management System. Additional alarms may be incorporated for trapped personnel or humidity.

Chillers

Greenworks can design supply and install a chilled water system to meet your requirements. Contact us for an initial consultation.

Existing system maintenance

Coordinated by our service department, our engineers carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to air-cooled water chillers across a range of applications ensuring our clients experience minimum downtime from breakdowns whilst reducing breakdown frequency via.

We are UK Service agents for EF and Glen Dimplex Riedel chillers. Often installed as cooling units on high tech laser cutting machinery, we carry an extensive stock of spares enabling our service department to provide a 24/7 call out to industries whose manufacturing processes rely on fully operational machinery.

Ventilation

Energy efficient buildings increasingly call for Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems to provide ventilation for personnel comfort whilst minimising heat loss. This is regulation in new builds and popular in refurbishments. Greenworks design and install compliant systems with associated controls.

We design, supply, install and extract ventilation systems covering a range of industries and applications. The selection of energy efficient fans and appropriate silencers and ancillary items can significantly improve the air quality of an indoor space.

Existing system upgrades

As regulations on energy efficiency in office spaces are updated, we are retrofitting energy efficient heat recovery ventilation systems to buildings originally installed with direct extract and fresh air ventilation systems. Our clients not only benefit from increased comfort conditions for their staff, but also reduced running costs.

Building Management Systems

We have been a Trend Systems Integrator since 1980, with highly qualified controls engineers able to design, supply, install and maintain predominantly HVAC and process controls to industrial applications and comfort applications alike.

We specialise in replacing, modernising and upgrading old or obsolete control systems with bespoke Trend systems, often while maintaining critical operation of the controlled services. These projects are often combined with the renewal of existing, or installation of new plant.

Maintenance of control systems is becoming a more significant element of our business as our clients increasingly recognise the importance of improving energy efficiency and continuity within their own operations. Our site technicians will help you identify areas for improvements in your control systems whether it be the installation of a simple time clock to the closer regulation and adjustment of plant operating parameters.

Service and Maintenance

Planned Preventative Maintenance

We know that our clients rely on our Service Departments to keep their air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration and control systems in optimum operating condition. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) increases the operational and energy efficiency of your systems whilst minimising the likelihood of unplanned and emergency breakdowns.

We offer a ‘sign-up’ service for clients that want to schedule their PPM visits one, two or even three years in advance. By signing up to a maintenance agreement, clients are guaranteed routine visits as per the contract agreement, and priority call out attendance in the event of a breakdown. Clients that are ‘on-contract’ also benefit from a reduced rate of billing.

The Service Departments at both of our offices staff a helpdesk in normal hours and operate an out of hours call out offering 24/7 cover for ‘on-contract’ clients.

Greenworks will never assume that your business has the same demands as others. You will be treated as an individual and our services will be tailored to your needs. We understand that our cost effectiveness and efficiency is the prime reason for you to use our Service Departments and we want to create an effective service plan to suit you.

Service and Repairs

Breakdowns and accidental damage happen from time to time. We take great pride in delivering a first-class service to trouble shoot faults before quoting remedial works and actioning repairs.

We can service and repair all equipment that we install, and more. When called to site, our engineers are trained to follow tried and tested procedures to find unknown faults and to ensure that no part of the service function is overlooked.

Service and maintenance on recently installed equipment to maintain the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty is important. The training and manufacturer accreditation that our engineers undergo, ensures that our client’s warranties remain valid. All service vans carry a range of consumable items that often enable us to complete remedial works at the first visit. If a return visit is required, our service Department Administrators can provide a fully costed quotation for your consideration.

For our ‘on contract’ clients we are able to build up knowledge of the site and its assets such that we can determine likely faults prior to attendance and even recommend spares and consumables for critical plant that the client can choose to retain on site.

F-Gas

For owners or operators of equipment holding refrigerant gas, it is important that comply with the F-Gas legislation. This legislation exists for a reason and checks are being carried out. Greenworks Controlled Environments are a REFCOM Elite accredited contractor who can advise you of your responsibilities and help you remain F-GAS compliant.

Why does F-Gas Matter?

F-gases used in refrigeration systems have low levels of toxicity and flammability, this makes them safe for users. However, despite being ozone friendly they have a relatively high Global Warming Potential. If F-gases are released into the atmosphere, they will stay there for millennia.

If you need more information or assistance on conforming to your F-GAS responsibilities, please do not hesitate to contact one of our offices.

DID YOU KNOW…

Our Planned Preventative Maintenance contracts can include F-Gas Register Management. We take the hassle out of the legislation so that you can get on with what you do best.
